Turok and Andar are captured and threatened with death because of the feathers they wear in "The Honker With Two Feet." A group of cavemen worship giant prehistoric birds, and think that the two Indians have killed one of them because their arrows and headbands have feathers in them. The second story is called "When Stars Blaze." While crossing a desert, Turok and Andar come to an oasis. There, they meet a young primitive who has been left at the oasis to die. With his help they cross the rest of the desert, and with their help, he rejoins his tribe.
