In "Don't Give Up," Andar tries to make a home in a cave, even though Turok tells him it's a bad idea. A band of cavemen drive them out, so they decide to try to make a home on a river island. But the island is inhabited by a lone caveman, and he is not willing to share his home. He's willing to kill to keep it to himself. The second story, "The Laughing Caveman," begins as Turok and Andar meet a man who stumbles and falls in an attempt to make them laugh. He invites them to meet his tribe, but Turok declines. They lower their guard with their light-hearted humor, not realizing the caveman's hidden agenda: to steal their flint stones and the secret of fire!
