In the two part story, "Danger Signals," Turok and Andar separate from Hutec in their search for a way out of Lost Valley. In part one, "Farewell To Hutec," a close call involving Hutec's sacred scrolls prompts him to hide them in a cave, then he decides to leave Turok and Andar to double their efforts to find a way out of Lost Valley. He gives Andar a reflecting stone for him to signal with, if they find the way out. In part two, after Turok and Andar are captured by a hostile tribe, "Hutec Strikes" when Andar signals to him and he attempts to rescue them.
