Turok and Andar are saved from a quicksand bog by a caveman who turns out to be "The Cunning Foe." To repay him for their lives, Turok shows him the secret to making fire, but his thirst for power turns against them, and he tries to have them killed and takes their bows and arrows. Then, in "The Monster Of The Depths," Andar disappears from their camp one night. Turok finds him being held captive in a fishing village. He is to be sacrificed to a sea god, and Turok must find a way to rescue him before he becomes honker food.
